Welcome
Thanks for visiting my personal website. I am a researcher specializing in computational methods and software for NMR spectroscopy.
Research Interests
- Parametric Signal Estimation
-
NMR free induction decays (FIDs) can be modelled as sums of
damped complex sinusoids, one per resonance. Fitting this model
directly in the time domain yields precise frequencies,
linewidths, and amplitudes even when peaks overlap severely in
the frequency-domain spectrum — a regime where
conventional Fourier-transform based analysis breaks down.
- Pure Shift and High-Resolution NMR
-
Homonuclear ¹H–¹H J-coupling splits every resonance
into a multiplet, complicating spectral interpretation and
worsening overlap. Pure shift methods collapse these multiplets
to singlets. Unlike experimental approaches such as PSYCHE,
combining parametric estimation with 2D J-resolved data
achieves this at full sensitivity.
